General Situation • 11 organizations work on nutrition • 3 National NGOs (HCO, NHDF, JDF) • 8 International NGOs (COSV, IMC, IRC, KHI, MSF-B, MSF-H, SC, Tearfund) • Present in 10 counties • Nutrition interventions are available in counties • OTP – 100% • TSFP – 70% • BSFP - 50% • SC – 40% • IYCF – 20% • MN – 0%

Concerns and Challenges • Security situations • Increase Demand • Service delivery (Availability, Equitability, Accessibility, Quality, integration) • Workforce (Available, competent, motivated, productive & well distributed) • Supplies • Nutrition Information (including M&E) • Financing • Leadership /Coordination

  5. Proposed Strategic Focus Coordination, advocacy and resource mobilization Standards, guidelines and technical development Capacity development and operational support Information /Knowledge management

  6. Proposed Expected Outcome • Decreased Malnutrition and its consequences • Increased Responsiveness (preparedness, contingency planning and early warning system) and Recovery • Social and Financial Risk protection • Improved efficiency

One step forward • Establish nutrition coordination mechanisms • Maintain contact and partnership between nutrition partners • Define and Share role and responsibilities (TOR) • Periodic reporting and information sharing • Collective monitoring and evaluation • Develop inter-sectoral linkage (Collaboration)
