Definitions • Final Approver - Dean/Director is set up as the Final Approver for the Recruitment Activities in the range of Departments/Org codes under his/her control to: • Set up the Hiring Managers • Approve postings from Hiring Managers • Approve final candidate to be appointed in the positions • Final Approvers may also sign themselves up as Hiring managers, Reviewers and or Interviewers • Hiring Managers - Manage the hiring process in the College/Department where they are set up as Hiring Manager and will be able to: • The Hiring Managers will set up his recruitment team including Reviewers and Interviewers. • Post positions, • Review applicants, • Shortlist and interview candidates and • Recommend appointees to these posted positions • Hiring managers may also sign themselves up as, Reviewers and or Interviewers • Reviewers – Review applicants and submit recommendations for shortlisting to the Hiring Manager for the positions/postings they are set up for as Reviewers • Interviewers – Will interview and recommend to the Hiring manager candidates to be appointed for positions/postings they are set up for as Interviewers UAEU HR – November 2012

Dean/Director set up the hiring Manager in the E-recruitment system • Hiring managers are set up by the to manage the recruitment process. • Hiring Managers will post positions, review applicants, shortlist and interview candidates and recommend appointees to these posted positions for approval. • The Hiring Managers will set up his recruitment team including Reviewers and Interviewers. • You may set up any number of Reviewers/Interviewers as required. • Hiring Managers will only be able to recruit in the College/Department they are set up as Hiring Managers. Log on to E-Recruitment ServicesLog on to the SELF SERVICE BANNER (E-SERVICES) environment using Banner ID & Password Click “E-Recruitment” tab As Hiring Manager you will have the following options available: Create a New Posting Assign/Remove Reviewer/Interviewer(s) Shortlist Applicants for Interview My Selected Interview List Submit Candidate (after interview) for approval My Selected Candidate (after interview) List Posting Status UAEU HR – November 2012

  6. Cerate a new Posting (1) Add the position number you would like to advertise. If the position is already under process or not in your assigned area as Hiring manager the system will not allow you and give you a warning that: “Enter Valid Position Code Either this Position Code does not Exist or already under process” The system will update the fields for you for your verification of the position. If this is the position you would like to go ahead with, Click on “Create/View Post” UAEU HR – November 2012

  7. Cerate a new Posting (2) If there is a saved template in the system for the position the fields will populate automatically. Please review all the fields. If there is no stored template, please complete all the fields: Job description Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Rank/Experience or Skills Desired Salary range, (only staff positions) You may also add instructions/comments to the HR and budget office as well as the candidates You may also able to add instructions/comments to the candidates that will appear on the posting. Posting closed dates can be left open if the post will be open until filled Please enter the contract term as months. Please add the number of positions you are recruiting for. If you would like HR to also advertise the position on other websites please add the details here. (note: advertisement cost of this nature will be for the College/Department) You may also ask 5 specific questions from the applicants. These questions will be asked from the candidates when they apply for the position. Please choose the answer type for your question as Open Text(Answers will be limited to 100 characters) Numbers Dates or Yes/No Questions Submit for approval by the Dean/Director Human Resources - February 2010

  8. Assign or Remove Reviewers/Interviewers (1) From the list of Postings select the posting for Assigning Reviewers/Interviewers UAEU HR – November 2012

Assign or Remove Reviewers/Interviewers Enter the banner ID of the person you would like to assign Click on the “Assign As” button Reviewer Interviewer Both You may assign as many Reviewers/Interviewers as you require Click the “Add” button to assign the person to this posting You may remove a person from the list by selecting his “check box” and then clicking “Remove” As Hiring manager you may also set yourself up as a Reviewer/Interviewer UAEU HR – November 2012

  10. Shortlist Applicants for Interview(1) From the list of current postings, select the posting where you would like to approve the candidates for the shortlist. UAEU HR – November 2012

Shortlist Applicants for Interview(2) In the screen you will be able to see all the candidatesreviewed, recommended and submitted by Reviewers You will be able to review: Average Ratings of the Reviewers Comments of Reviewers Candidate applications, CV and other documents You will have to decide on the candidates to be shortlisted by clicking on the shortlist button and entering a ranking for the candidate. The ranking will be your order of preference from strongest to weakest candidate. Please note, you must add comments to your selected candidates. If you do not want to recommend a candidate for shortlisting you should not tick the “Shortlist” box - but you will still have to enter a comment stating the reason why To proceed click the “Send Shortlist Applicant to Reviewer/Interviewer”’ button UAEU HR – November 2012

  12. My Selected Interview List Your list of recommended candidates will be displayed as well as their status Click on “My Selected Interview List” From the list of Postings select the posting for review UAEU HR – November 2012

  13. Submit Candidates After Interview for Approval(1) From the list of current postings, select the posting where you would like to approve the candidates for the shortlist. UAEU HR – November 2012

  16. Posting Status At any time during the recruitment process the Hiring manager can check the status of current recruitment. The list is generated per posting currently active and provides details about the: Posting Applicants Hiring Manager Current Status of the activities UAEU HR – November 2012
