  5. General Rules • AT LUNCH TIME: No eating at recess • No children may have cell phones out at recess. If so, take the cell phone and give to a recess teacher • Children must be courteous at all times. No yelling, name-calling or accusatory tone. • Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in losing game privilege. • All those that are playing games are to follow the rules of the game. If conflict arises, students are to get a supervisor to help resolve the problem. • Most misbehavior will be dealt with by discussion from all involved. We also take time to re-teach our expectations with each occurrence, by the supervisor. • Office referrals are to be reserved for severe and chronic behavior. • Bathroom passes/clips are required to go to the bathroom and are given by the recess supervisor.

  6. Ways to Support the Students • Start a game and play WITH the students • Help students solve minor disagreements about game rules • Help students pick teams (soccer/flag football, kickball, etc.) • Make sure to engage with the kids!!

  7. Some Recess Activities • Jump Rope • Basketball (21, bump, game) • Kickball • Tag (freeze tag, elbow tag, and more) • Soccer • Flag Football • And many more…
