  2. General considerations • The section is currently staffed with 4 people (incl. James) • The scope of this area will increase with the merge of CFU functionality into Qualiac end 2006 - begin 2007. • In a steady state situation 4 FTE’s should be sufficient to cover the scope • On the medium term (2/3 years ahead), we need to review our strategy concerning BAAN. Replacing/upgrading BAAN will be a major undertaking. • James’ post returns to AIS • We have the authorization to open two Career path D staff posts • ‘small’ sections are not viewed favourably by management

  4. More on changes • The changes will take place on the 1st of October. • Wim will be in charge of the merged section. • Jurgen will replace James as deputy group leader (as of 1-10-2006). at this point….Any QUESTIONS?????

MDS Major Points 1st Half 2006 • EXTERNAL (user visible) • Integration of HRT-PIE into HRT • Support of new contract policy (4+2) in SMT. • Dosimeter Records • Revised MAPS reports due to changes in MAPS form. • Information Center v1.1 for HRT & CET • Sharing of Virtual Units • Scheduling of Reports (production expected 1st half of July). • Automatic extraction of access rights for HRT-PIE (GLIMOS, TL & DTL) • Enhanced Access & Safety reports + made available for the HRT-PIE community. • Enhancements to Career Overview and Graph reports. • Much enhanced query performance for pluri-annual queries (CET). • Cross-referencing of EDH document creators and CET expenditure (done via IC). • Various other minor requests that have come in (Remedy and other sources…) • INTERNAL • Major code clean up, removal of deprecations and obsolete stuff, elimination of run-time dependencies of other databases (some work remains for 2nd half of 2006). • Packaging of HRT & CET in single WAR file (dependant on code clean up). • Migration of CET & HRT data extractions to Oracle v10 (cost based optimizer). • New extraction mechanism (ART batch runner), replacement of Avatar, error handling and fault tolerance of data extractions. • Refactoring of ART column selection mechanism (no longer relying on cookies). • Automated Daily Builds for improved QA.
