  5. A “drunkard’s progress” was a common theme…drunkenness would leadto moral vice…and ultimately self destruction.

  6. The oppositeof temperance is … Drunkenness … or … intemperance … Men … Fathers in particular were identified as susceptible to … …falling off the wagon.

  8. Drunks Were Bad Dancers Shame! Shame!! Shame!!!

  9. Women led the noble crusade against alcohol abuse in America. AA…mmenn.

  10. These Ladies …can’t think of a good reason to drink… …a very sobering thought… eh….

  11. American virtueandvicewere at issue in cultural war … …eventually the 18th Amendment would attempt to settle the issue with prohibition.
