  4. Common Mispercetions Answer True/False. The purposes of the game of Scrabble is to make the longest word possible with your tiles.

  5. Common Misperceptions (cont.) Answer True or False. You should always try to form a word when it's not your turn and subsequently place the word on the gameboard, when your turn approaches.

  6. Common Misperceptions (cont.) Answer True or False. You have to be really smart to play Scrabble effectively.

  7. Strategy #1: Use of S, R, D, Y • Extend existing words (Camel Camels) • Hook to form new words (Trade Rice at end of trade) • Also known as power tiles • What new words can be made from “bake” with these letters? • What new words can be made from “cream” with these letters?
