  2. Current version • UW Base Profile 1.2 released in early December • Highlights • Thumbnails for news and events • Improved promotional item placement • Site managers able to clear site cache

  3. Our next release – 1.3 • Testing next week then rolling out • Highlights • Image galleries • Archive functionality • Able to view pages as an anonymous user when logged in (can hide tabs) • New sidebar content layout templates

  4. Our next release – 1.3 • Highlights (continued) • UX improvements to content management interfaces • Improved semantic markup for pages with multiple items • Introduction of the Node Hierarchy module to help manage site structure

  5. Coming in version 1.4 • Web forms • With fillable PDFs • Many contributed module updates • Locations for events feeding from a central site

  6. In the works • Blog and newsletter features • Scheduled content publication • A generic theme for sites with multiple affiliations or non-uWaterloo sites • E.g. Cross-institution research groups, Staff Association • Improved support for social media

  7. In the works • A Drupal 7 Features server to share our code • New content types and/or functionality for specific sites • E.g. Find a researcher/OFIS integration, catalogue of exchange programs • Check the Web Resources site for more information regarding updates

  8. Requests for new functionality • A formal process is being developed to review new functionality requests. The following criteria will be considered: • Business Needs • Breadth of Implementation • Accessibility • The Appropriate Technology • User Needs • Development Time
