Overview of Task Group Steps • Form Study Group (SG) • Study (is the task feasible?) • Construct PAR • Form Task Group (TG) • Staff the task group • Chair • Secretary • Leaders for the 4 controlling docs • Prepare controlling docs • Issue RFP • Hear proposals • Select from amongst proposals • Internal review of draft (letter ballot) • Incremental revisions(1) - as challenges/ opportunities are uncovered • External review of draft (sponsor ballot) • Incremental revisions(2)? - as challenges/ opportunities are uncovered • Publish draft as an 802.11 amendment Darwin Engwer, Nortel Networks
