  2. 摘要 • 旅客猶豫不決是旅遊決策行為理論中失落的一個環節,以往研究多著重於旅遊目的地造訪的成因,很少去了解旅客為何會猶豫不決之議題。到底價格敏感度對於旅客是否會成為決定海外旅遊地與遊程時之猶豫不決現象提出一可能的解釋,則為本文之主要研究問題。本研究根據個人猶豫不決之假說及相關過往消費者行為理論,將旅遊風險知覺與包含性別在內等六項人口統計變數列為控制變數,以釐清價格敏感度對旅客猶豫不決之關係。本文採立意抽樣方法於桃園國際機場選取440名海外觀光旅客進行問卷調查。經階層迴歸分析發現,於控制可能影響之變數後,價格敏感度顯著正向影響旅客猶豫不決之程度。最後文末亦依此提出對旅遊業者之實務管理建議。 • 【關鍵詞】:價格敏感度、旅客猶豫不決

  3. 壹、研究背景與問題 • 當消費者面臨選擇哪家業者提供的行程或旅遊目的地時表現出猶豫不決,觀光服務供應者即無法說服消費者立即購買商品,就會失去交易的機會,而造成旅客轉向其他業者購買,這將嚴重影響業者的銷售績效。海外旅遊產品是屬於一項高風險、且高價位的產品,它並非如同日用品一般的消耗性產品,消費者亦非經常性地購買海外旅遊商品,所以購買態度上顯得較為謹慎、保守。這亦引出消費者價格敏感度議題之於購買決策行為的重要性(Hsieh and Chang, 2004; Patrick, 2005)。本文最後也要釐清旅客決定海外旅遊決策時,是否會受價格敏感度所影響而猶豫不決。

  4. 貳、文獻回顧(1/2) • 一、猶豫不決 ☆ 猶豫不決(hesitation)是指消費者延緩或推遲其在最後決策階段裡需進行之產品購買決策(Cho et al., 2006)。 • ☆ 消費者的選擇決策包含風險評估,實際上他們經常慣性地違背主觀期望效用理論之行為前提(Roehl and Fesenmaier, 1992),而推遲決策或暫時不作任何選擇(Tversky and Shafir, 1992; Greenleaf and Lehmann, 1995; Dhar, 1997),這二種行為在Cho et al. (2006)探討線上消費者猶豫不決之行為研究中則被視為猶豫不決的一種表現。

  5. 貳、文獻回顧(2/2) • 二、價格敏感度 • ☆ 價格敏感度的衡量,端視個人在購物時對於產品價格之知覺程度(Lichtenstein, Bloch, and Black, 1988)。 • ☆ Lewis and Shoemaker (1997)指出價格敏感度取決於消費者對價值的知覺程度,而知覺價值又會受到價格與品質的交互影響。

  6. 參、研究方法(1/4) • 一、概念性架構 • 本研究根據過往文獻及相關理論提出二項研究主要變數:價格敏感度及旅客猶豫不決,並建構研究架構於圖1。其中,旅客的價格敏感度會影響預訂旅遊行程等相關決策時猶豫不決的程度,為一單因子影響模式。另一方面,為確實衡量價格敏感度對於旅客制定旅遊目的地與行程決策時猶豫不決的影響程度,必須控制住其他可能的影響因素,以阻絕任何干擾效果的產生(Hsieh and Chang, 2004)。本文參考過往研究論及會影響旅客旅遊決策行為之因素,提列包含性別、年齡、職業、教育程度、婚姻及平均月收入(Douglas, 1976; Carr, 1999; Kersteter and Pennington-Gray, 1999; Lin and Lehto, 2006; Wilborn et al., 2007)等六項人口統計變數以及旅遊風險知覺(Wong and Yeh, in press)為本研究之控制變數,以期純化價格敏感度對旅客猶豫不決之關係。

  7. 參、研究方法(2/4) • 研究架構圖 • H1:旅客決定海外旅遊行程相關事項時,其價格敏感度會顯著正向影響猶豫不決之程度。

  8. 參、研究方法(3/4) • 二、抽樣方法與調查過程 本研究採取立意抽樣方法,受測對象以過去一年內出國觀光1次以上,且未來5年內仍計畫出國觀光之旅客(Milman 1993; Jang, Morrison, and O’Leary, 2002)為主。此外,本研究主要探索消費者心理知覺變數對其決策行為之影響,故以問卷調查為主要之資料蒐集方式,並於正式問卷調查前進行前測,以及內容效度之檢驗,最後再執行正式問卷施測。 • 為降低未回應誤差之問題,本研究參考Hsieh and Chang (2006)擬訂之步驟,先對參與此次調查之6位訪員進行團隊分組;再者,對其施以一般街頭訪問技巧及禮儀等相關訓練;問卷調查於2008年1月8日起至2月8日止,在台灣桃園國際機場中進行為期1個月的問卷調查,總計發出650份,回收560份問卷,其中210份為無效問卷,有效問卷計有440份,問卷回收率為86.2%,問卷有效率則為67.7%。

  9. 參、研究方法(4/4) • 三、操作性定義與問卷設計 依據過往研究提及之理論,本文提出主要衡量變數之衡量問項,調查問卷主要包含旅客猶豫不決、價格敏感度、旅遊風險知覺以及人口統計變數等四大部分,並以李克特五尺度進行衡量旅客猶豫不決、價格敏感度以及旅遊風險知覺三項研究變數(1=非常不同意~5=非常同意)。 • ☆「旅客猶豫不決」採Friedman and Mann (1993)之量表衡量旅客猶豫不決之行為,共計6題問項。 • ☆「價格敏感度」採用Patrick (2005)研究之衡量問卷,其原始量表修訂自Lichtenstein et al. (1988)的研究,總計3題問項。 • ☆「旅遊風險知覺」採行Floyd and Pennington-Gray (2004)之量表衡量旅客對海外旅遊的風險知覺,共計15題。

  10. 肆、研究結果(1/5) • 一、樣本特性描述 整體而言,受訪者以女性略占多數(54.5%),半數以上受訪者為未婚者(61.1%)、年齡低於30歲(50.9%),其次為31至40歲(29.5%)。近六成受訪者的教育程度為大專、大學(60.5%),從事與商業事務有關之工作(29.5%)或仍為學生(20.2%),平均月收入多介於新台幣兩萬至四萬元(37.3%)。此外,旅遊特性方面,約五成受試者平均每年出國旅遊的次數為一次(50.0%),由家人(41.1%)及朋友(36.8%)陪同出國占多數。而旅客在海外觀光旅遊地的平均消費金額約為新台幣三至五萬元(40.7%)。

  11. 肆、研究結果(2/5) • 二、變數描述性統計與信、效度分析 表1所示為各項衡量變數之平均數、標準差以及各個問項之因素負荷量與信度值。基本上,旅客猶豫不決程度集中於普通的程度,顯示制定海外遊程相關決策時,旅客似顯現專一程度的猶豫不決。而由平均數來看,受訪旅客之價格敏感度介乎普通與同意間,顯示旅客對發生在其欲購買的旅遊產品上任何有關的價格變動,具有相當高的知覺程度,易言之,旅客對業者在各項旅遊產品進行的價格水準與波動極為敏感。此外,旅遊風險知覺亦有半數以上問項之平均分數集中於普通與同意之間,代表旅客制定旅遊目的地及遊程決策時感受到相當大的不確定性,並覺得自身的旅遊安全可能會遭受威脅。

  13. 肆、研究結果(4/5) • 三、假說檢定 為進一步確認旅客產生猶豫不決的因素,是否即為價格敏感度的影響,本研究採行階層迴歸分析(multiple regression analysis)為研究分析方法,並於第一階段中投入六項可能會影響旅遊決策行為之人口統計變數作為控制變數(Carr, 1999; Kersteter and Pennington-Gray, 1999; Lin and Lehto, 2006; Wilborn et al., 2007)。隨後於第二步驟,置入另一項關鍵的控制變數-旅遊風險知覺(Wong and Yeh, in press),期望之後第三步驟中的主要研究變數間關係能不受到旅遊風險知覺的干擾作用。最後,第三步驟,本研究投置主要研究的自變項-旅客之價格敏感度於階層迴歸模式中,藉此釐清價格敏感度對旅客猶豫不決行為之純粹影響為何。

  15. 伍、結論與建議(1/4) • ☆本研究主要目的為檢驗旅客價格敏感度對於猶豫不決的影響為何,過往學者在旅遊決策行為方面之相關探討一向甚深,且多數議題環繞於造訪與不造訪旅遊目的地兩種截然不同的旅遊決策行為(e.g., Bansal and Eiselt, 2004; Nadeau et al., 2008),對於旅客猶豫不決之探討則顯得有所不足。 • ☆為改善企業長期的獲利能力,則需先屏除消費者價格敏感度所產生猶豫不決的現象,努力將潛在的消費市場轉化為可確實提供獲利者,探討價格敏感度對旅客猶豫不決間之關係實兼顧理論與管理意涵。

  16. 伍、結論與建議(2/4) • 一、研究結論 • ☆ 旅客在決定海外旅遊相關行程及目的地時,價格敏感度對於旅客表現出猶豫不決的程度呈現顯著正向影響。 • ☆ 旅客對於旅遊行程的價格變動通常是敏感的,且價格敏感度愈高者,愈不容易付諸購買行動,在旅遊決策時的猶豫不決程度亦是較為偏高的。 • ☆ 產品價格確實會影響消費者的購買決策,但更深層的重要考量則是隱含於價格之下的「價值觀」概念,消費者是否能以所付出之金錢購買到所期望的產品品質,則為高價格敏感度者表現出猶豫不決態度的主要因素。 • 若能直接改善旅客對海外旅遊商品的價格敏感度,則有助於平緩其制定海外旅遊決策時所發生的猶豫不決之現象。

  17. 伍、結論與建議(3/4) • 二、實務意涵 • ☆ 在遊程設計方面,如:行程中每項安排之費用須加以對照說明,勿製造產品或價格的模糊空間,致使旅客產生混亂或不安的心理,害怕購買業者提供的不透明旅遊行程後,感覺自己遭到欺騙,並因此須承受價格方面的損失。 • ☆ 旅遊業相關經理人員仍可依據旅客的心理知覺擬定適當的行銷策略與相關活動,使消費者產生「物超所值」或「物有所值」等感受,降低其價格敏感度,以加速購買的決策行為。

  18. 伍、結論與建議 (4/4) • 三、研究限制與未來研究建議 • ☆ 限制: • ◎本文以判斷抽樣選取440位旅客為研究調查對象可能仍有偏差。 • ◎僅以價格敏感度作為衡量變數,而未引入人格特質與旅遊經驗等相關前因變數。 • ☆ 建議: • ◎ 可將猶豫不決作為一市場區隔變數,深入探討其市場特性,並發展適用 於此市場區隔的推廣策略。 • ◎ 可再擴大研究對象與研究範圍,加入其他心理與行為變數,以繼續探索旅遊之決策行為。
