  1. MENA-IUG8th Annual ConferenceDoha, 18-19th Nov 2013 Arabic Roundtable Amr Almasry(QNL) & Stefan Seeger (GUQ)

  2. GUQ migrated to Sierra on 31st July 2013 We’ve immediately thereafter, reported to III that the Arabic index isn’t functional any longer and that the character display is faulty III Helpdesk suggest a complete re-indexing, which was carried out in early September, but didn’t solve the issue GUQ submitted more screenshots and samples On 17th Sept III HP opened a new dedicated ticket HD informed us on 27th Sept that the “engineers do have a fix in the works” On 30th Oct we were informed that the “Software Engineering Department has created a fix for this issue.  The fix will be available in the next Sierra release” … “it looks like it may be available as soon as the start of the new year”

  4. Oddly enough, the same search in the OPAC seemingly yields the correct 13 hits : … yet, if one hits the result link, only ONE random record (out of the 13) appears on the screen

  5. Same problem with all index searches (author, title, subject) As for the coded display, at least one other Millennium customer seems to have a similar problem:
