  1. Wikis The ethics of editing when Using Collaborative Tools

  2. What is a Wiki? “A wiki is a collection of webpages whose content is typically organized around a specific purpose or topic. Content can be collaboratively written, added to, deleted, and modified by users” (Knobel, M. and Lankshear, C., 2009, p. 631).

  3. Educational Need The number of students identified with a disability has increased dramatically over the past 20 years.

  4. Educational Need 1991-1992 - 4,710,000 2006-2007- 6, 686, 000 53.7% of students served in the general education classroom for 80% of the day. National Center for Education Statistics (2009)

  5. Educational Need Co-teaching is “an educational approach in which general and special educators work in a coactive coordinated fashion to jointly teach academically and behaviorally heterogeneous groups of students in educationally integrated settings” (Bauwens, Hourcade, & Friend, 1989, p. 18).

  6. Educational Need More students are in the general education classroom with skills below grade level. The majority of these students struggle with reading decoding and comprehension.

  7. Literature Review McClanahan (2009) conducted a literature review on effective reading practices to use on struggling readers in the general education classroom.

  10. Literature Review “Classwide Peer Tutoring (CWPT) is an evidenced based, cooperative learning strategy that increases student engagement with academic content (Cooke, Heron, & Heward, 1983). A critical element of effective CWPT is the instructional feedback students provide to each following a response” (Skylar, 2007, p. 53).
