  3. Gallup Polls indicate • 65% of working adults do not believe they are in the right job • The average job in America only lasts 3.6 years • The average employee has 9-13 jobs over the course of a career

  4. The National Center for Education Statistics report • Only 28% of secondary students believe school work is meaningful • Only 39% believe school will have any bearing on their success later in life • (Taken from an abstract by Phil Jarvis, VP of The National Life/Work Center and Co-author of CHOICES)

The DOL predicts • 63% of the 18.9 million jobs that will be created between 2004-2014 are projected to be filled by people with a bachelor’s degree • 90% of the fastest growing jobs in the US require some level of post-secondary education or training Workers 18 and over earn: • Without HS diploma an average of $18,734 • With a HS diploma an average of $27,915 • With a college degree an average of $51,206 • With an advanced degree an average of $74,602
