  1. Chess Club Literacy Leaders Literacy Leaders meet twice a month to promote a love of reading across the whole school. Get reading! Choir Students meet every Thursday to fine tune their singing talents and rehearsing for performances. Enrichment Opportunities 2013-2014 View the amazing opportunities that are open to all Fulham Cross students and make sure you get involved! As well as learning new skills and meeting new students you can also earn VIVO points for regular attendance. Students regularly meet in the library to test out their chess skills against each other, developing problem solving skills. Astronomy GCSE Year 10 Twelve Year 10 students spend two hours every week learning Astronomy at William Morris sixth form. Students have thoroughly enjoyed this experience and we look forward to supporting them in their GCSE this summer. s ss Into medicine Talk October 2013 Dr Jane Valentine from Kings College Medical school gave a talk to Year 11 students on applying to medical and dental school. Students were then shown how to take blood and had the opportunity to practice on models! Art GCSE Club Talented GCSE art students improve their art techniques and grades! The Mensa club meets with Ms Hosp to improve problem solving, debating and higher level thinking skills Cambridge University Trip Six students from Year 10 took up the amazing opportunity to look round Cambridge University, look out for more university trips in 2014.

  2. Innovation days 2013 Enrichment Clubs Physical Education clubs Science Club Science Cub have been designing a new soap and bath range. Speakers from LUSH came in for a visit to inspire the young scientists and develop a greater understanding of careers that scientist have. Year 8 students visited two of London’s most visited tourist attractions– London Zoo and St Paul’s Cathedral. Pupils made the climb of 722 steps and were treated to an amazing view across London. Every day we offer a different physical education activity– these range from netball, football and cricket to other clubs to improve fitness. All provide some fun after a busy day spent studying! School Council New form reps has have now been elected and attended their first meeting. Amal Bidder was elected chair and Krupp Patel her deputy. Please pass any ideas through your form reps and form reps make sure you attend. Year 10 had the opportunity to visit the Globe, the home of Shakespearian productions on the South bank! They had a chance to take a tour and sit in the seats to know how it felt to be a real audience. They were then able to use this experience in a drama workshop. Manga Club meet every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the library beginning at 12.45pm for every year group is welcome to come and play maths based problem solving games and draw Japanese manga characters.
