  1. Setting Boundaries for Your Child Many parents want to be their child’s friend and don’t want to be the “baddie” telling them off or disciplining them when they cross the line. Someare afraid of hurting their kids’ feeling or losing their “democratic” image by setting boundaries. Some are simply already in a out-of-control family and nothing can be done! But that’s just not true! Children grow up with clear boundaries feel safer and develop better sense of self image and worth and show more respect to their parents.
