Module5 Indoor Residual Spraying with DDT for Malaria Control Vector in The Gambia • The application of this method requires the training of the operator to ensure the safe and correct application insecticides. With good skills and quality application equipment, hazards to human health and the environment, as well as financial losses can be avoided (WHO 2000).

  15. Unit 1 GUIDELINE FOR APPLICATION OF INDOOR RESIDUAL SPRAYING FOR MALARIA CONTROL VECTOR IN THE GAMBIA. The Indoor Residual Spraying is the method most effective in the malaria vector control, to obtain a rapid large scale impact. The main objective of this is to reduce transmission by reducing the survival of the malaria vectors.
