Mission and Vision Established in 2001 by deans and directors of HBCUs so designated by the White House Initiative on HBCUs The HBCU Library Alliance is a consortium that promotes the collaboration of information professionals and excellence in library leadership and services to enhance member resources and programs. The HBCU Library Alliance’s vision is to be the leader in preserving and promoting the history and missions of the White-House designated Historically Black Colleges and their libraries.
