  4. Having served in the military from the Vietnam era (1973) to his last posting in 2015, finishing with a combat tour in Afghanistan, Albertill's expertise spans clinical, research and operational military medicine, chemical warfare and the history of military medicine. His new series explores these areas in the form of captivating historical fiction.

Drawing on years of travel and residence throughout Europe and the Mediterranean countries in Northern Africa and the Near East, Albertill crafts compelling narratives that merge the past and present.

  6. The inaugural novel, When Leaning Towers Fall, unearths a secret underground Nazi biochemical lab in present-day Poland. The series’ protagonists – the US Army physician-scientist team of Mickey Peronne, Russell Lange and Suzanne Coletrane – are led on a perilous journey through Europe's leaning towers. These novels will enthrall readers with a compelling blend of history, mystery and war.

  7. Set within the context of the 20th Century Europe, the series weaves historical facts with fictional intrigue, connecting anachronistic medical research, vanquished villains and secret Templar societies. The series spans genres including fiction, historical, 20th century, WWII, war and military, mystery and detective.

  8. Albertill's series also celebrates the author's roots in Parkersburg, W.Va., specifically featuring the Julia-Ann Historic District (J-AHD) in the first novel, with the district appearing throughout the series. My experiences, both personal and professional, have shaped the narrative of The Lost Books of Benjamin series. The stories are a fusion of the past and present, drawing on my extensive travels throughout Europe, Northern Africa and the Near East. The series is not just an exploration of history and the war against terror, but also a tribute to my roots in Parkersburg, West Virginia. I am excited to share these stories with readers, and I hope they will be as captivated by the journey as I have been in writing it,” said Albertill.
