MYP unit question How can we benefit from learning a foreign language? How is learning a symbol/character-based language different to learning an alphabet based language?

  9. ne​ 呢? question word – repeats the previous question

  19. Writing • Write the phrases into your vocabulary book. • Use the character sheet to practise your writing.

  20. Character challenge! Can you reshuffle the following sentences into the correct word order?e.g. 老 好 师 >>> 一 好 上 早 二 不 忙 你 忙 三 见 师 老 再 四 不 忙 我 五 吗 你 好 六 好, 呢 我 你 不 很 老师好 早上好 你忙不忙 老师再见 我不忙 你好吗 我不很好, 你呢

  21. Speaking • Go round the class asking how people are and tally up your answers. Remember!!!! Extend your speaking skills by greeting each person with a greeting we have learnt and say goodbye. Use 你呢 to ask them how they are if they have already asked you.

  22. You received the email below from a pen friend, how much can you translate? 你好,你好吗?你妈妈好吗? 你今天忙不忙?我今天很忙! 你多大?我十三岁。 再见 今天 = Today Hello, how are you? How is your Mum? Are you busy today? Today I am very busy! How old are you? I am 13 years old. Goodbye
