After introducing the keyboard, the major portion of the grade will be based on business technology assignments, class activities, and homework. • Interim and quarter grades are progress grades only. Grades will be posted on a periodic basis. It is the student's responsibility to verify the grade report and indicate any discrepancies to the teacher by the following day. Parents need to sign grade reports and they can be returned for extra credit points. Grades are determined as follows: • 90-100% = A • 80- 89% = B • 70- 79% = C • 60- 69% = D • Below 60%=F By: Mr. Nussberger

  4. Classroom Procedures: • Follow student handbook for absence and tardy policy. • Hall passes are for emergencies, so please take care of personal needs before or after class. • Students are assigned to a computer station and are expected to be in their seats when the tardy bell rings and remain there unless the lesson plan requires student to move. • Make-up work: Complete a Make-up Request form the day the student returns from an absence and put it in the in-basket. No credit is given for unexcused absences, but the student may make up missed work. A Make-UP Form must be stapled to make up work and returned by date indicated in order to receive credit. If a student misses part of a group assignment, a student will lose points if it is impossible to complete what was missed. • It is the student's responsibility to make an appointment to work before or after school. All work must be done in a lab under the supervision of a Business Technology teacher. • Equipment in the room is very expensive to purchase and costly to maintain. Operate equipment properly and conserve on use of paper and laser printer. By: Mr. Nussberger

  5. Homework: • Because of equipment needs, homework is not generally assigned. Make-up work may not be completed outside of computer lab. Standards established by the AZ Dept. of Ed. require students’ meet measured competencies in vocational courses. In order for teachers to evaluate those competencies, they must observe students as the work to complete the assignments. By: Mr. Nussberger
