EVALUATION OF THE BENEFITS

 improve the dialog with the students

 stimulate interest and curiosity

 participants in the courses discovered that

learning increase and does not diminish hierarchical

authority and experience

 students learned there is also a different approach

to problem solving, things can be done in different ways

and uncertainly or doubts are acceptable

 no single approach to education, including the

case-study approach serves all purposes or fills all needs

 cases are helpful when used in combination with other

methods and tools

 The primary benefits of the case study method lie not

in the identification of specific answer but in the

development of insights and in the simulated application

of principles (Charles R. McConnell, 1998)
