  6. Why iClicker Trend? • Easy of use and support • Reliable • Poll the first day of class - register later • Teacher’s remote • Anonymous & on-the-fly polling within a session • Works with Quest (College of Natural Sciences Software) • Frustration with CPS But…

  7. iClicker Shortcomings • Only 5 multiple choice options • No numeric input • No LCD or testing functionality • Full Blackboard integration not expected until spring 2010

Trend towards Mobile Devices • Polling with Cell phones and wireless devices • Commercial and non-commercial options • Turning Point works on iPhone & Blackberry • iClicker Web release fall semester (beta testers?) • MOCA- DIIA’s Mobile Ongoing Course Assessment (polling device in development)

  12. web>clicker • Browser-based clicker for laptops, iPhone, iTouch, and other PDAs • Use web>clicker in the same class with traditional handheld remotes • This technology will allow bases to connect for off-site connections, ideal for distance learning • Was designed with an accessibility consultant • Question content can be displayed for home-bound students/students using screen reading software
