  1. Junior English -- September 26, 2011 Agenda: ICTW #9 Perspectives in Literature Carousel Activity

  2. ICTW #9: 5 minutes • Write down 5 words that you think DEFINE you as a person. • Pick one of the words and write a paragraph that explains why you picked this word, why this word defines you, and how this has an impact on your life.

  3. Perspectives in Literature • Over the next TWO days…you will be reading different pieces of literature and examining the author’s perspectives. (Who are they? What defines them? How do their qualities/values/experiences impact their view of America?)

  4. Carousel Activity… • You will get ten-thirteen minutes with each poem/song/paragraph. • When the time is up, rotate to the next number. (For example, Table 1 go to table 2, etc. Table 7 go to Table 1.) • Your goal: Identify these writer’s perspectives. Compare and contrast with your own.
