  1.   THINGS TO DO IN THAILAND      1. Visit the Grand Palace: It is considered as one of the Bangkok’s main tourist attractions; it can be tempting to dodge the throngs of great pictures in the afternoon heat but is worth the sweat. It is a collection of complex painted white and gold temples offer religion and history which gives you a quick burst of Thai culture.      2. Take a boat through Bangkok: The long boat down Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River is another way of soaking up the city’s culture. You can watch the locals at work; see the city’s epic monuments in the background.     3. Go wild on Khao San Road: The kilometer long stretch offers a continuous overlaps of bars, hostels, travel agents, clubs, restaurants and massage parlours of which you can take advantage of their low prices.       4. Try some street food: A bit of pad Thai or spicy green curry cooked on the street corner is no harm to anyone. Get indulge in a strange looking snack or bizarre smelling beverage from a vendor.     5. Visit the reclining Buddha at Wat Po: The temple of the reclining Buddha as it is commonly known does what it says – it is resting place for the reclining Buddha. The golden statue is 43 meter long so pretty impressive. It is located just opposite to the Grand Palace.    6. Step back in time at Nightingale Olympic: It was the first selling foreign goods and showcasing Thailand’s post war wealth. However somewhere along the way it has not been redecorated or updated its stock and well, cleaned.     7. Play with tigers: In Chiang Mai’s Tiger Kingdom you can swarm inside and get friendly with the baby cubs and the daddy tigers in the cage.
