  1. Leave and its Affect on Post Differential TDY: Leave from a footnote "N" country (Iraq and Afghanistan only) Employee must achieve 42 days in country to earn Post Differential. Employees are eligible to receive a continued post differential payment for 30 days. On the 31st day out of theater post differential will be suspended. Another 42 consecutive days in theater must then be served in order to be eligible for post differential payment again. Post differential will then be retro back to the return date to theater. Leave from a footnote "N" that is less then 30 days will not interrupt payment to post differential. TDY: Leave from a non-footnote "N" (Kuwait, etc). Employee must achieve 42 days in country to earn Post Differential. Post differential suspends immediately, but eligibility continues for 14 days. In other words if you arrive back at the foreign location prior to the 14th day, post differential will restart upon return to theater. For leave over 14 days, another 42 consecutive days must be served. Post differential will start on the 43rd day. TCS:Leave from a footnote "N" country (Iraq and Afghanistan only) Employees are immediately eligible for post differential upon arrival at the foreign location. If on R&R from a footnote "N" country post differential will continue for 30 days while on leave, then it will be suspended on the 31st day. It will immediately restart upon return to theater. Leave less then 30 days will not interrupt payment of post differential. TCS:Leave from a non-footnote "N" (Kuwait, etc). Employees are immediately eligible for post differential upon arrival at the foreign location. Leave from a non-footnote "N" country will suspend post differential upon departure from foreign location, and restarts upon return.
