Implementation of the Classification of Statistical Activities (CSA) • CSA is used to classify the statistical activities of international organizations in UNECE database; Paris21 group for technical assistance; and in the metadata standard, SDMX • Statistics Canada is using CSA to classify variables in its Statistics by variable moduleandVariables and definitions module • Based on our experience, proposing changes to CSA’s domain 1 Demographic and social statistics Statistics Canada • Statistique Canada

Questions to EG • Does the EG agree that the CSA should be added to the family of international classifications? • Should these proposals be submitted by the EG to the UNECE secretariat (steward of the CSA) for their consideration or is it too early?
