  3. Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. It prepares us for the 40 days Jesus spent in the Desert.

  4. It is also a 'feast' to prepare for the time of 'famine' in the desert

  5. It is also a time to communicate our sins to God so we can begin Lent feeling new.

  6. Ash Wednesday

  7. We Will Be Placing a Cross On Our Forehead

  8. Lent Gives Us 40 Days – 40 Opportunities to Show Kindness

  9. Now is the time to Think of What You will do for Lent

  10. Just As Jesus Prayed For 40 DaysWe are reminded to Act Like Jesus each day of Lent

  11. Lent Is A Journey

  12. Sometimes easy

  13. Sometimes Very Difficult

  14. So What Are Some Ideas of How We Can Show Jesus We Are Thinking About Him?

  15. Make Time Each Day

  16. Help A Friend

  17. Even Better – Help someone who is not your friend

  18. Read From the Bible Each Day

  19. At the Supper Table talk only of Good things

  20. Sing Out At Church

  21. Say A small Prayer to God

  22. Take The Dog For A Walk Without Mom or Dad Asking

  23. Pray for Others

  24. Go Visit A Grandparent or Relative Who May Be Lonely

  25. Give To The Poor

  26. Spend Some Time With …

  27. For The Person Who is Lonely

  28. Show Them You Care

  29. Kindness Can Warm a Person’s Heart

  30. What About The Shy Person

  32. Take Time To Thank God For All You Have
