  2. Jefferson Davis He wanted to serve as a general to the confederate states army but instead took the role as provisional president. He also argued against secession. Born: June 3rd,1808 Died: December 6th, 1889(aged 81) He was apart of the confederacy

  3. Ulysses s. grant Born: April 27th, 1822 Died: July 23rd , 1885(aged 63) He was apart of the union He was a general-in- chief to the union army. He was offered to recruit and train other volunteer units.

  4. Robert e. lee Born: January 19th,1807 Died: October 12th,1870(aged 63) He was apart of the confederacy Lee became commander of the main confederate army in Virginia.

  5. Abraham Lincoln Lincoln was a commander and chief of the union And was the president of the civil war. Born: February 12th, 1809 Died: April 15th, 1865(aged 56) He was apart of the union

  6. William Carney He was a African American soldier during the civil war who received the medal of honor for his actions. Born: February 29th,1840 Died: December 8th,1908(aged 68) He was apart of the union

  7. Philip bazaar He was a immigrant who joined the union navy. He got a medal of honorcitation. Born: in Chile during the 1800’s Died: Unknown He was apart of the union army
