What are Minimum Standards? • Safety Equipment (Helmets, Gloves, Hans devices) • Licence’s – Accepted to compete • Car Registration – Compliant and with no visible faults • Scrutineering • Pit Standards: • Alcohol • No-Smoking • Licence Holders Only • Minimum Age • Appropriate Clothing • Ambulance / Medical personnel in attendance • Minimum Fire Fighting requirements • Catch Fence and Crowd Control • Track Density numbers • Insurance Permits – Government Licence (NSW/WA)

SPEEDWAY AUSTRALIA INSURANCE REPORT • Personal Accident Insurance: • Unfortunately for the Insurance scheme we have had some MAJOR claims that has given us quite • a large Total Incurred • Total number of claims has decreased substantially • * Note – Claims still coming in, and FATALITY claim has not yet been lodged. PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE - 89 Speedway Australia Tracks - $50 million indemnity limit - Account held with QBE London PAST 5 YEARS CLAIMS AREAS $403,841 in Public Liability Claims since Oct 2010 CURRENT PUBLIC LIABILITY CASES ON HAND - 4 Claims are still open – Est total Incurred $215,266.00 - Only 1 Claim been lodged since June 1st 2014 (closed at $12,000) - Claims open date back to 29/4/2011 - 1 Claim open is for $110,000 but our legal party are fighting vigorously

NATIONAL SPEEDWAY ISSUES Important subjects of concern we all need to be aware of to continue eliminating as many risks within the sport as possible. • Venues advising they sell Insurance – Please notify only Licence sales • Divisions/Tracks not carrying out correct scrutineering process • Competitor licences not being provided at venues or checked at tracks • Incident/Accident Reports not being provided for Speedway Australia and Insurer • Speedway Australia One Day Licences only being used for recognised divisions • Venues allowing unrecognised divisions to compete at track • Red Zone officials not being licenced • Social Media compliance – Abuse and derogatory comments is on the rise • Forged medicals on applications

NATIONAL DIVISION - FORM • FORM PRODUCED FOR APPLICANT (3 STEP PROCESS) • EMAIL SENT TO NATIONAL BODY ADVISING OF PENDING APPLICATION • INITIAL APPROVAL REQUIRED FROM STATE BASED CLUB (IE SPRINTCARS SA) • SECONDARY APPROVAL REQUIRED BY NATIONAL BODY • FINAL CONFIRMATION REQUIRED FROM SPEEDWAY AUSTRALIA STATE BRANCH AFTER APPROVAL FROM STATE AND NATIONAL BODY • NOTE • TO SAVE TIME AND UNWANTED DELAYS IN THE PROCESS, THE APPLICATION FORM WILL NOT BE SENT TO THE NATIONAL BODY. QUITE SIMPLY, THE STATE BASED CLUB IS TO SEEK APPROVAL FROM THE NATIONAL BODY, AND THEN DETAIL ON THE FORM THE NAME OF THE NATIONAL BODY REPRESENTATIVE, THEIR POSITION HELD AND THE DATE OF APPROVAL. • THE IMPORTANCE OF THE EMAIL (DOT POINT 2) WILL ALSO ENSURE THAT THE NATIONAL BODY IS AWARE OF ALL PENDING APPLICATIONS AND CAN HOLD THE STATE BASED CLUB ACCOUNTABLE.

  27. COMPETITION OVERVIEW Rule Book Timelines 1. Divisions have until Sunday 31 May 2015 (today) to submit recommendations of change for the Australian Speedway Racing Rules & Regulations. 2. Speedway Australia to compile paper on suggested rule additions, changes and amendments and ask for comment from National Officiating Committee. 3. Comments are compiled and assessed by Speedway Australia and changes will be formalised and sent back to the committee for final comment. 4. Once the rules committee is satisfied with the changes, these will be recommended to the Speedway Australia Board and then added to the rule book. • Rule Book to be printed in September. Recognised Divisions 1. Work through off-season tracks and divisions to ensure that a. Our records of recognised divisions is correct b. Speedway Australia tracks are only running Recognised Divisions 2. Collate updated specification record for all divisions
