  3. See • The Ardennes is one of natures unspoiled areas. It is filled with vast forests of broadleaf and fir, hills and fast flowing rivers. People can do activities such as walking, cycling, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, horse riding, climbing, and mountain biking. • The Grand Place is located in Brussels. The square is the most important tourist destination and most memorable landmark in Brussels.

  4. Hear • A large number ofbirdscan be heard in the Belgian lowlands including sandpipers, woodcocks, snipes, and lapwings. • Brussels is a very noisy city. People are always bustling around and making noise.

  5. Touch • Belgium’s coast is 65 kilometers long. It has 15 resorts. The sandy beaches are ideal for children. Sunbathers can acquire a healthier tan than in southern Europe due to the high levels of iodine in the air. • Diamonds are finished in Belgium. They are also one of Belgium’s biggest exports.

  6. Smell • Chocolate is a common smell in Belgium. It fills the air because of the amount of chocolate being made and consumed. • Pollution is another common smell. The air is filled with traffic and house heating emissions and the water quality is poor do to pollution.

  7. Taste • Belgian Frites also known as french fries originated in Belgium. They are very popular in Belgium and can be found in Friteur which are fry shops. • Belgian Waffles are known in Belgium as Brussels waffles. The are lighter and more crisp than other waffles. They are commonly sold by street vendors and eaten fresh from the iron or covered in whipped cream, fresh fruit or chocolate.
