A referendum to establish the Library passed December 8th, 1962.
The Library opened its doors in Oct. 1963 at 10714 S. Roberts Road Palos Hills, IL.
Signing the lease for the Green Hills Library, 08/15/63.

Green Hills’ 1st librarian:
In October 1966, Green Hills moved to its
2nd location in a
10708 S. Roberts Rd.
Palos Hills, IL
Story hour in the new building.
October 30th 1971: Ground-breaking for newbuilding at present location (8611 W. 103rd St.).
* Joanne Jenantowsky planned ground-breaking ceremonies.
The Library (3,216 square feet) was erected on highest point in Palos Hills.
