Selecting Text Any amount = Drag over the text A word = Double click on the word A line = click with the pointer to the left of the line A sentence = press Ctrl and click the sentence A paragraph = Double click with the pointer to the left of the paragraph A section = Click at the beginning, press and hold Shift and click at the end Non-consecutive = Click the first selection, press and hold Ctrl to select additional text All text = Ctrl + A

Undo, Redo, and Repeat • Word remembers the editing and formatting changes you make so that you can easily reverse or repeat them. • Undo – reverse the last action. • Undo a series of actions by selecting the arrow to the side of the button and choosing the action you want to reverse. • Redo – keep a reversed change • Repeat – Duplicate an action you just completed

  8. Document Views Views = ways of displaying a document in the document window Print Layout = Displays a document as you would see it on a printed page. Draft = A simplified layout without margins, headers, or graphics Full Screen Reading = Displays document text so that it is easy to read and annotate

  9. Document Views • Web Layout = format web pages and documents what will be viewed primarily on a computer screen. • Outline = Allows you to reorganize text by moving headings. • Shows heading and subheadings
