  1. BRITISH SHORT HAIR KITTENS The ancestors of the short hair kittens are domestic cats. These are found in most homes in Britain. These cats are rare in the pedigree. They look broad and have chunky faces.

  2. This breed is known for its good temperament and cool nature. Their origin can probably be traced to the Egyptian house cats. • History shows that these cats were brought into Britain during the ancient war. It has gained in popularity thereafter.

  3. The origins of British shorthair kittens can be traced as far back to the first century A.D. It is one of the oldest breeds in the world. • The Egyptian cats were brought into Britain when the Romans invaded them.

  4. These cats started breeding with the native European cats. The resulting breed adapted itself to the cold and frigid climate and developed a thick layer of coat on its body.

  5. The massive with roundness to it is seen largely in the male cats. Their eyes are larger than average, which are with a copper color tinge.

  6. This breed is not a playful, at all. It is known to be very devoted to their owners. Easy going and dignified are also some of their qualities. • They are loved by animal trainers. These cats are safe around children due to their tolerable nature.

  7. They interact well with other pets as well. However, if you carry them, they show their displeasure.

  8. Cats were found to be more expensive when they come with a pedigree than the house bred ones for obvious reasons. • Reputed breeders who are willing to sell the kittens with adequate papers are a better bet than house bred ones.
