The Legacy of the Templar Knights • The Prerecession of the Templar Knights • King Phillip became very jealous of their prosperity • On “October 13th 1307” King Phillip arrested the Templars • This made the superstitions of the Friday the 13th • King Phillip tortured until they spat on the cross • Jacques de Payne confessed to false charges and by the pope was burned on a stake

  8. An Everlasting Knighthood • Today Templars are still around as scholars • Said to have founded the Freemasons, the Rosicrucian and many more orders • Because of them expanding Christianity widely • They were the earliest founders of military order

  9. Summary All in all the Templar Knights were some of the most praised and formidable opponents on the battle field. We have learned about their cause , how they were established and about their legacy that is still with us today.
