OUR AIM 1- Screening for chronic non communicable diseases: DM, HTN, CKD, CVD, and OBESITY. 2- Awareness (targeting community members, healthcare providers, and policy maker) by the disaster of chronic non communicable diseases and declaring that CKD is preventable and/or at least we can delay progression to ESRD. Awareness was carried out on community, healthcare providers, and policymaker levels.

  5. Awareness was carried out by: • ISN WKD materials (Translated to Arabic language) • Arabic brochures and flyers • Lectures for participants • Video presentation • PowerPoint presentation • Activity of our Egyptian Society for Prevention of CKD

  6. Are your kidneys OK?

  7. First event: Awareness in Masjid including females and males by dissemination of brochures and lectures targeting CKD.

  8. Second event: Awareness in the university to > 600 student.

  9. Third event: Awareness in 2 secondary schools and surrounding community to > 2000 participants with dissemination of brochures, flyers, and free screening.

  10. Fourth event: Awareness in 2 villages to > 500 participants.

  11. Fifth event: The main event in the historical city: Rashid city at the union of Nile river with the Mediterranean sea. A big campaign to screening 500 participants for chronic non communicable diseases and lectures targeting 2000 participants with invitation of medical staff in this city and members of the Egyptian society of nephrology.

Conclusion • Screening for CKD, DM, hypertension, and obesity is simple, inexpensive and identify persons at risk. • Higher prevalence of CKD, DM, HTN, obesity, and albuminuria with poor control of them. • e GFR is critical to heighten the awareness to kidney abnormalities while S.creatinin is normal. • Lack of community awareness by the magnitude of chronic non-communicable diseases.
