  3. Construction • Please be careful!!! Mind caution tape • Let the construction crew do their job • Please don’t interrupt/interfere/intervene • Report any safety or behavior concerns immediately to any staff member, the Principal or Asst. Principal

  4. Attendance • Attending school regularly is tied to good grades!!! If you are absent, have your parent call the school or write a note. • If you leave class without permission….. • If you leave the PE area or a classroom to get a drink of water or use the restroom without permission….. • If you leave class/school without permission… • YOU are truant—absent without permission • A parent needs to sign you out in the front office before you are allowed to leave campus.

  5. Tardies • Be on Time to school and all classes • 1ststudent/teacher conference • 2nd teacher detention • 3rd administrative detention • 4th Saturday school **If you are late to school, bring a note to the office, or have a parent sign you in.

  6. Respect for all • Use appropriate language to teachers and classmates • Have a positive attitude and tone of voice • Be courteous and respectful to others • DO NOT TEASE!!!! • Follow the “hands off” policy • Plagiarizing or cheating is against the school rules

  7. Bus Ettiquette • Follow the bus driver’s instructions • Always stay in your seat • Do not eat on the bus • Display appropriate behavior • Always have your bus pass with you

  8. Dress Code • Make sure your clothes are appropriate • Hoods or beanies of any kind are not allowed. Hats outside ONLY and worn in correct manner (facing forward) • Sagging pants/shorts are not allowed • Inappropriate pictures or words on clothing are not allowed • No Tank tops (for boys or girls), bare midriff, spaghetti strap tops/shirts, halter tops or tube tops • Pant bottoms featuring words, letters, numbers or logos are not permitted. You will be required to change into Loaner clothes if you are not dressed appropriately

  9. Items to leave at home…. • Skateboards • Razors/Go Peds • Cameras • Excessive amounts of money and expensive items (including expensive jewelry) • Walkman, CD players, “IPods”, MP3, etc…. • Electronic games/trading or playing cards • Pagers • Laser pens

  10. Lunch Time Behavior • What to know about lunch time: • Treat others with respect • Use your own money!! NO MOOCHING • Respect personal and school property • Be courteous in line; Don’t cut in line • KNOW THE BOUNDARY LINES (need lunch pass) • Throw away your trash—keep your area clean • Say please and Thank you. • Respect personal space • Monitor your backpacks at all times. They should not be unsupervised at any time.

  11. General Information • Follow all staff directions • Office phone is for emergency use only • Use your Planner regularly • No open displays of affection • Take care of planters, walk around them • No running or horseplay on campus • NO Gum at any time while on school grounds • Carry your ID card with you at all times • Treat others as you want to be treated

  12. Harassment/Bullying • It is against school, state, and federal rules and law to harass someone • Think before you speak and act • NEVER threaten anyone. • Anything and everything you say will be taken seriously!!! • If it is going to make the other person feel uncomfortable, DON’T SAY OR DO IT!!!

  13. ZERO Tolerance • NEVER, EVER Bring to school: • Drugs and their paraphernalia (this includes alcohol and tobacco) • Weapons of ANY kind!!!!! (pocket knives, laser pens, etc)

  14. Zero tolerance violationsWhat May Happen?? • You will be suspended for 5 days • You may have the suspension extended • You may appear before an EXPULSION board • You may get EXPELLED!

  15. This is your school • We want you to know the rules so that we will all be safe • We want you to be SUCCESSFUL!!! • We want you to earn excellent grades. • We want you to have fun
