  6. Definition of social science • সামাজিক বিজ্ঞান হল সমাজ বিষয়ক বিজ্ঞান। সমাজের সকল বিষয় নিয়ে এটি আলোচনা করে।

  7. পৌরবিজ্ঞানের উত্‌পত্তি পৌরবিজ্ঞানের ইংরেজি প্রতিশব্দ Civics.এটি ল্যটিন শব্দ Civitas এবং Civis থেকে এসেছে। Civitas অর্থ নগর আর Civis অর্থ নাগরিক।
