  20. Date: 2013 Re: 2013 Issue in Society Final Exam and Community Service Project Dear parents, The Issues in Society class is a student-driven course wherein students examine different social issues and uses the United Nations Declaration of Human rights as a standard for deciding right from wrong. The Students tackle issues that they have observed in society that tend to pose a problem. They research about their chosen issues and create presentation and lead discussion in class. As part of their final exam for their second semester, the students of this class would like to address the social issues of wildlife preservations, nourishing forests, and building houses for people in need. Rather than tackling an issue through a class presentation, the students feel that it is important for them to take part in helping the community by We plan to leave on 9th of March 2013, Saturday, and we’ll be back on the 10th, Sunday. The main goals of the activity are: - Building dams to preserve water for the forest during the time of draught. - Building salt licks for wild animals - Learn how to build a house from mud to help families that their houses were destroyed.
