  5. The Hadean eon First Life: Bacteria Earth Formation 4,3 BYA 4,1 BYA 3,9 BYA 4,5 BYA 4,4 BYA 4,2 BYA 4 BYA 4,6 BYA Scale : 100 MY During the Hadean eon, the Solar system was still forming and today we haven’t found any rock as old as the Hadean eon. Only some Meteorites are that old. The oldest rock found on the Earth is 3,8 BYA, whilst there are lunar rocks 4.5 BYA. During the first 800 million years of its life, the earth surface passed from liquid to solid. Once the first solid rock was formed, the geological history begun. It is probable that rocks formed before 3.8 BYA, but it’s very likely that erosion had destroyed them. From the beginning of the rock record, starts the Archeozoic eon.

  6. Focus # 2 : THE ARCHEOZOIC EON Hadean Eon (4,6 / 3,9 B) Archeozoic Eon (3,9 BYA– 2,5 BYA) Proterozoic Eon (2,5 BYA – 540 MYA) Phanero- zoic Eon (540 MYA - today) 3,1 BYA 2,1 BYA 1,1 BYA 100 MYA 4,1 BYA 3,6 BYA 2,6 BYA 1,6 BYA 600 MYA Today 4,6 BYA Scale : 500 MY

  7. The Archeozoic eon First Life: Bacteria 3.9 BYA 3.7 BYA 3.5 BYA 3.3 BYA 3.1 BYA 2.9 BYA 2.7 BYA 2.5 BYA Scale : 200 MY In the Archeozoic eon, Earth`s atmosphere was made out of methane, ammonia, and other gasses that are toxic for humans. In this eon the bacteria first appears and the Earth`s crust has cooled down enough for the rock and the continental plates to start to form.

  8. Focus # 3 : THE PROTEROZOIC EON Hadean Eon (4,6 / 3,9 B) Archeozoic Eon (3,9 BYA– 2,5 BYA) Proterozoic Eon (2,5 BYA – 540 MYA) Phanero- zoic Eon (540 MYA - today) 3,1 BYA 2,1 BYA 1,1 BYA 100 MYA 4,1 BYA 3,6 BYA 2,6 BYA 1,6 BYA 600 MYA Today 4,6 BYA Scale : 500 MY

The colonial algae and soft body invertebrates also start to appear and there is oxygen build-up in the atmosphere.

  10. Focus # 4 : THE PHANEROZOIC EON Hadean Eon (4,6 / 3,9 B) Archeozoic Eon (3,9 BYA– 2,5 BYA) Proterozoic Eon (2,5 BYA – 540 MYA) Phanero- zoic Eon (540 MYA - today) 3,1 BYA 2,1 BYA 1,1 BYA 100 MYA 4,1 BYA 3,6 BYA 2,6 BYA 1,6 BYA 600 MYA Today 4,6 BYA Scale : 500 MY
