  2. What was the Berlin wall?? The Berlin wall was a wall that divided east and west germany .

  3. Why was it built?? It was built to divide east Berlin communist control and west Berlin non-communist control. The west had a better economy than the east , so east Berliners would escape to west Berlin , this began to be a problem.

  4. Who designed the wall?? Hagen Koch was a 21 year old Stasi recruit whose background in technical draughtsmanship would suit him for a unique job in Germany history : he mapped out the Berlin wall

  5. The Brandenburg gate Was commissioned be Friedrich Wilhelm ll to represent peace The gate was designed by Karl Gotthard Langhans the main architectural design of this landmark hasn't changed since it was first constructed in 1971 The Brandenburg gate is probably the most well-known landmark in Berlin It now stands as a symbol of the reunification of the two sides of this great city.
