Media and Support • ASEC and CFA hosted the annual media teleconference to kick-off the Week. • 96 media outlets (newspapers, radio, TV, blogs, and Web site postings) featured stories on the event. • Congressional Resolution in support of the Week introduced by Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX). • Proclamations from Governors in Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, and Washington • Statements of support from: • Social Security Administration Commissioner, Michael J. Astrue • FDIC Chairman, Shelia Bair • Comptroller of the Currency, John C. Dugan • Federal Reserve Board Chairman, Ben Bernanke

EBRI/ASEC Participation in ASW ‘10 • 66 ASEC Partners and EBRI Members participated in America Saves Week 2010, including almost all of the ASEC Policy Board members. • ASEC participated in three outreach events during the Week: Military Saves Week Financial Readiness Fair at the Pentagon, SEC Financial Education Fair, and Black America Saves’ event at Howard University. • Financial capability outreach to over 650 individuals during ASW ’10.
