  3. 1. A Song that explains WHERE • Where you’re from • Where you are NOW • Ms. Smith’s Choice- Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd. I chose this song because I’m from Montgomery, Alabama, and even though I haven’t lived there since I was a kid, I still have part of my heart in Alabama!

  4. 2. A song that explains WHO • Who are you? Ms. Smith’s Choice- Summer Girl by Jessica Andrews. I chose this song because I love the lyrics- I feel like they’re about me! “I’m just a summer girl- I wear my flip flops. When I let my hair down, that’s when the party starts!”

  5. 3. A song that explains your FUTURE • Where you want to go • Where you want to be in the future • Ms. Smith’s Choice- Rock Star by Third Day. I chose this song because the first line is SO me! “I want to be a rock star, but I don’t have what it takes- the time or the determination- or the lucky face.”

  6. 4. A song that tells what you LOVE • What is in your heart? • What do you love? • Ms. Smith’s Choice- In Christ Alone. This song tells what’s in my heart- what I love, what I want, where I’m going! This song takes everything in my heart and puts it to music. Knowing this song changed me.

  7. 5. A song you like! • Free choice! Just pick a song you love! • Ms. Smith’s Choice- American Girl by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. This is my theme song for life. I love it. The opening line is my favorite- “She was an American girl- raised on the promises.”
