Workforce Development Program Development Healthcare Careers Academy • High school students equitable access to medical career pathways • Norpac On-the-Job Training (Longview) • The North Pacific Paper Company (NORPAC) On-the-Job Training program provides hands-on learning in the in-demand international paper manufacturing industry preparing students for employment opportunities through real-world work experience. This six month program is available to youth ages 18 – 24 years old. • Milgard Employee Retention and Advancement Program • Customized Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL) and Financial Education for incumbent workers

Program Development Milgard Employee Retention and Advancement Program • Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL) - one year pilot program onsite at Milgard Windows & Doors • To date, 39 incumbent workers have participated • 112% increase in retention of employees completing VESL program over regular employee population. • Net savings of $2,400 for each student retained.

12. Barista Skills Now Open to Ages 16+ • Ages 16+ • Eight week program • Combines classroom instruction with on-the job training at two Tacoma locations

United Way Center for Strong Families Using an integrated service delivery model, Goodwill concentrates in three main areas – financial coaching, employment services and income supports • Using this model, clients are more likely to: • be employed year-round • reduce non-asset related debt • build positive credit histories

Operational Elements • On-site employment services (job placement, retention, and advancement) • On-site one-on-one financial coaching tailored to the needs of the working poor • On-site access to income supports (public benefits, tax credits, tax return preparation) • Intentional/well-planned integration of the three core services • Data tracking to improve program performance
