To educate knowledgeable, confident and internationally oriented professional teachers for a multicultural knowledge society. • Teacher education programs are expected to integrate university and school practices into coherent study designs. • This implies bringing together theory- and experience-based knowledge: two equally important knowledge sources for professional practice. • ProTEd will bring these two knowledge sources together, reconceptualise teacher education and develop study designs that support the education of creative and resourceful teachers who know how to meet the challenges of increasingly diverse and knowledge intensive education systems. • The main activity at the centre is therefore to develop a flexible study designallowing staff at the universities and in partner University schools to collaboratively support the professional learning of student teachers. ProTed: Bærendeideerfremhevetav NOKUT • Skal tjene som etstrukturerende rom for systematiske eksperimenter med samlede lærerutdanningsprogrammer, som integrerer sterk forskningsforankring, tett samspill med avtakerfelt og utdanning basert på dypt samspill av profesjons- og vitenskapsfaglige elementer. • Innebærer et samarbeid mellom UiO og UiT, der konseptet består i å utvikle en forskningsbasert og helhetlig lærerutdanning i samarbeid med partnerskoler.

  4. Kravogforventningertilsenteret • Status som SFU innebærer at UiO og UiT skal tilby fremragende FoU-basert utdanning. • Utvikle innovative måter å arbeide med FoU-basert utdanning på. • Bidra til å utvikle og spre kunnskap om utforming av undervisning og læringsmiljø som fremmer læring.
