  2. LET US PRAY Introduction: 1. Jesus Taught His Disciples to Pray (Matt. 6:9). • Express, Increase Our Trust in God • Fellowship, Spiritual Relationship with God 2. Matt. 6:9-13 Is a Model Prayer. • Example of Proper Way to Pray • Not Memorized Ritual, Mindlessly Repeated 3. We Often Say, “Let Us Pray.” • Emphasize Importance of This Part of Worship • This Service: Study Prayer, Offer Several Prayers

  3. LET US PRAY I. Matt. 6:9-13 Jesus Gave a Model of Prayer. A. Vs. 9 Address God with Reverence, Praise B. Vs. 10 Pray for His Kingdom C. Vs. 10 Pray for His Will Not Ours to be Done D. Vs. 11 Pray for Physical Needs E. Vs. 12 Pray for Pardon F. Vs. 13 Pray to be Delivered from Evil G. Vs. 13 Give Honor, Glory, All Praise to God H. Vv. 12, 14-15Emphasis on Forgiveness • Let Us Pray to Have a Forgiving Spirit, and for God to Forgive Our Sins!

Vv. 3-7 God’s Purpose in Ruling Nations: Spread the Gospel, Save Souls • Let Us Pray for Our Leaders, • For Conditions Favorable • to Godliness & Gospel Preaching!

Vs. 6Never Overwhelmed with Care— Offer Thanks & Prayer to God! C. Vs. 7 God’s Peace Guards Our Hearts • Let Us Pray for God’s Help to Face All of • Life’s Trials, Temptations, & Storms!

Pray for Bishops—Need Men to Serve— Elders Watch for Our Souls C. Pray for Deacons—Need Men to Serve— Duties Vital to Function of Church D. Pray for Preachers—Need Men to Serve— Preach All the Counsel of God (Acts 20:27) • Let Us Pray for Every Member of the Church!
