  3. Purpose • Informational Draft. • Describe the SNMP-based MIB management architecture for MPLS-TP. • Point out gaps in the existing MPLS MIBs. • This document will NOT define the MIBs or the MIB objects. • The creation of new MIBs will be done in other documents.

  4. Structure of the document • Overview • Terminology, introduction to SNMP, review of MPLS-TP management functions. • Describes the MIB-based management architecture for MPLS-TP. • Indicates the interrelationships between different existing MIB modules for MPLS-TP. • Provides a gap analysis for MPLS-TP. • Documents which new MIB modules will be required for support of MPLS-TP.

  5. Current Status • Version 03 of the document. • Addressed review comments from various comments from the list. • Added Section 8 (New MIB Modules Required for MPLS-TP): • The purpose of each new MIB modules and how it relates to the other MIB modules. • Provides the MPLS OID tree structure and the position of different MPLS related MIB modules on the tree. • Document sent to ITU-T for early review.

  6. Next Steps • Address comments from ITU-T early review. • Stabilize document. • Aim to request WG Last Call before IETF 81. • Team members have begun work on associated documents: • MPLS-TP Abstract Management Model. • New MIB modules.
