Marketing Sisterhood • Send personal letters with targeted messages of the benefits of joining sisterhood to different populations of non-members. • Send a calendar of events with an invitation to attend one program for free. • Include articles about sisterhood activities in the temple bulletin. • Download professional templates from the WRJ website and include in temple bulletin or prepare as posters for display in the temple.

Marketing Sisterhood • Ask the rabbi to announce sisterhood gifts to the congregation from the bimah – for example, funds to repair the roof or purchase new prayer books. • Use social media, i.e. Facebook, to reach out to members and publicize sisterhood programming. • Use powerful testimonials in your marketing materials to encourage membership. “Even though I have young children and a very packed schedule, I always made time to come to sisterhood events. It gives me a much needed break and allows me to connect with other women my age in a meaningful way.” “Sisterhood membership is worth every penny. I’ve made friends with women of all ages from the congregation and gotten so much out of our social action projects. It feels good having fun and making a difference at the same time.”
