  2. Who We Are? 170 community-based service providers, municipal, provincial and federal departments, etc., Committed to working collaboratively and creatively on issues relating to housing & homelessness GOALS: Prevent & end homelessness Ensure housing stability

  3. 11 Regional Community Advisory Boards (RCABs) • St. John’s • Marystown - Burin Peninsula • Clarenville - Bonavista • Grand Falls – Windsor • Corner Brook • Stephenville • Happy Valley/Goose Bay • Labrador West • Baccalieu • Gander-New-Wes-Valley • Coast of Bays • Mount Pearl & Northern Peninsula NL Housing & Homelessness Network

Past….. • Homelessness and housing was not on the radar • No Poverty Reduction Strategy • No Supportive Living Program • No rural Community Advisory Boards • Little collaboration • Working in silos with staff often working in isolation • Little to no data or research in NL • Reactive instead of proactive • No HSW in rural communities

Present…(last year) • Funding unknown • Increased understanding of CABS • Revisioning and strengthening of Network priorities • Changes/priorities within government • Increasing need/complex issue • Strengthened relationship with governments • Management of Labrador HDC position • NS Housing & Homelessness Network
