Student Friendly Mission Statement: The mission of this school is to provide children with a quality education, and to ensure that all students become lifelong learners who are caring, productive and responsible citizens.  You may want to consider asking families what these statements mean to them

  4. Vision Statement The vision of the Harriet Tubman School is to equip our community with leaders that will be well balanced academically socially and mentally. We envision an academic program that is systematic where each grade builds upon another, and all stakeholders are accountable to the growth of each child starting from Pre-K 3 through grade six. To achieve this we must provide the opportunity for faculty, staff, parents and community to develop, through communication, curricula, sense of ownership, spirit, pride in the school, and the neighborhood. Though we expect students to be prepared academically, they must also be cultivated with a sense of cultural awareness of their past, which includes an appreciation of the arts, of acceptance, of diversity, history, and the community.
