  9. The way it used to be… • In the 1990s students in grades 3,6 and 10 were given writing tests which were hand scored • With budgets tight, the testing was discontinued but the focus wasn’t

  10. Move to MyAccess • E2T2 allowed us the technology to continue working with the craft of writing • Purchases included: 5 laptops per teacher, the My Access subscription, a printer and professional development

  11. Immediate Feedback • My Access facilitates the blend of technology and formative assessment. Students receive quick feedback of their submissions and summary data is available to teachers to modify their instruction.

  16. Changes over time • When the technology works and accessible, it is being used • The change in the paradigm of teaching • Professional development that supports the teacher where they’re at but encourages them to stretch their skills

  19. The Literacy Data Entry system is dynamically populated from our student information system. Teachers just enter the scores, and click submit.

  20. There are District reports. And student reports.

  21. Individual student level information; ITBS, NPR and NGE, are displayed in tables and charts.
