  3. D.C 2014 (cont’d) • What will we see/do?: • Gettysburg, Pa • D.C sites • Capitol Building • Presidential Memorials • War Memorials • White House photo opportunity (not a tour) • National Cathedral • Newseum • National Archives • Mount Vernon • Smithsonian Museums

  5. D.C. 2014 (cont’d) • How much does it cost for a student? • Prior to 6/17/13 • $49 registration fee towards the $805.00 cost • Post 6/17/13 • $99.00 registration fee towards the $830.00 cost • REGISTRATION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE PER THE WORLDSTRIDES POLICY

D.C. trip 2014 (cont’d) • How much does it cost to be a chaperone? • Prior to 6/17/13 • $49 registration fee towards the $930.00 cost • Post 6/17/13 • $99.00 registration fee towards the $955.00 cost • There are specific forms/cost involved to be a chaperone. This includes fingerprinting and background check. See Mr. Homrocky for details.

  7. D.C. trip 2014 (cont’d) • This trip is a privilege, not a right. Students who continually exhibit inappropriate behavior at school may be denied the privilege of going.

  8. D.C. trip 2014 (cont’d) • Electronics Policy: • Students will be able to use their cell phones in the evening on the way back to the hotel. They are collected upon exiting the bus at the hotel. Students can use other electronic means to take pictures.

  9. D.C. 2014 (cont’d) • How do we pay for this trip? • Register with worldstrides using the trip i.d. number to set up an account and to make payments. No money should be sent to the school. • The “Easy Payment Plan” is the most convenient with automatic withdrawals on your account. There is a $6.00 fee if you pay periodically by check. You can set up the payment plan with worldstrides.
